David Bienvenu appointed to Legal Services Corporation Disaster Taskforce

SPSR Partner David Bienvenu has been appointed to serve as a member of the Legal Services Corporation’s (LSC) Disaster Taskforce.  LSC is the nation’s largest funder of civil legal aid for low-income people, funding 133 independent legal aid organizations with more than 800 offices serving every state and U.S. territory.  Its mission is to promote equal access to justice in our nation and to provide high quality civil assistance to low-income persons.

Bienvenu currently serves on the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service, and previously served as chair of the ABA Standing Committee on Disaster Response and Preparedness, as a liaison to the Standing Committee on Legal Aid and Indigent Defendants, and as a member of the Standing Committee on Delivery of Legal Services.  He looks forward to contributing to the work of the Taskforce.
