Susan Clade Re-joins NOAWA Board

October 3, 2019 News

Ms. Clade recently addressed the monthly meeting of the Association for Woman Attorneys and, along with several other former presidents of the Association, recounted the history of the NOAWA’s efforts to increase the profile of women attorneys in the legal community, as well as to serve the needs of women and children in the broader New Orleans regional community. In connection with Ms. Clade’s affiliation with the NOAWA, Simon, Peragine, Smith & Redfearn, LLP recently co-sponsored “Food from the Bar,” a first-time event in New Orleans. The focus of the program is to raise funds, procure donations of food, and encourage volunteerism at local food banks. The New Orleans event had the primary purpose of providing support for food programs for children through the summer months when, because school is not in session, thousands of children lose access to nutritional breakfast and lunch programs. The event held at Second Harvest Food Bank in New Orleans was the kick-off event for what the NOAWA hopes will be an ongoing campaign in the New Orleans area.
